Fourth Trimester Must Haves

Coming fresh out of my third 4th trimester, here’s the low down on the must haves during this part of motherhood! There are so many options out there, but finding simplicity in the basic gear goodies to help smooth out the process.

-adult diapers: no need to mess with pads and mesh underwear from the hospital. Tear the sides of the adult diapers when your done, and put on a fresh new pair
-tucks pads: something about this cooling little pad placed down there, where stitches remain
-dermaplast: this was an extra cooling affect similar to the tucks pads that just made things feel “better”
-cooling packs for vagina and boobs: ice ice ice ice, your body has gone through some serious experiences, ice to help with soreness in all areas of the motherly body
-haaka (if intention is to breastfeed): this is technically a manual breast pump, that naturally suctions milk out. Personally, I’d let it hang loosely on the opposite side when I was nursing those first few weeks to catch extra milk. FYI your boobs leak like a faucet sometimes early on when breastfeeding, keep all that extra liquid gold!
-nursing pads & nipple cream/balm: I used the disposable ones those first few months (I know bad for the environment), but the regular reusable ones never held up the excess milk. I started using the reusable ones once the milk makers calmed down
-comfy clothes or nursing bras: camis with light compression are nice to feel “held” and supportive. Wear lively brand was my favorite brand for nursing bras and I wore them after we were done with the BF game
-use your pregnancy pillow for comfy positioning: don’t pack that bad boy away! Use it to proper your upper body open!

-stroller or some sort of baby wearing gear.. getting out of the house is essential

-support.. any and all welcome it accept it take it

Love + Light,

Becca
