All leggings are not created equal, I repeat all leggings are not created equal. I have quite a few more leggings than I like to admit, that is why I’m sharing my favorite leggings, more specially black leggings on the blog today. Different leggings may serve for different purposes, I know it is really intense. Have no fear, I will walk thru them all with you.

Well well well well well well. They can be a blessing and a curse. You try on your first pair after making the splurge on 100$ leggings, ahem i mean 98$, and there you have it, life has been changed. First I should explain I have two different styles of leggings to cover here in great detail (power point attached) just kidding I don’t know why I said that. The aligns and wunder unders are considered the most popular Lululemon leggings. The aligns have that buttery soft texture that smooth out your legs like straight buttah. Wunder unders provide you with a tighter material that we will say compresses things inward. Both just make me feel good. I know that sounds like a straight commercial, but I am speaking the truth here. Spending this much on a pair of leggings made me reconsider my life choices and I was a “I would never spend X amount on a pair of pants.” Downfall? Price obs and can’t dry them in the dryer. Pro? Let’s just say when I want a lil somethin somethin, slide on the lulus and perhaps a strut in front of The Husband and viola, that girl’s trip you were considering.. BOOKED. Or late night treat craving.. off to Chick-fil-A they go. To clarify, women don’t need men for approval of spending or fulfilling food requests. The leggings just make the credit card transaction statement rollout smoother without questions asked. Pro tip, there is a “We made too much” tab with hefty discounts you can filter to your size. For size reference, I order a 6 (5 foot 6 inches, 130ish pounds wink wink).
Ayooo another dream yoga legging. Buttery soft, and a killer company that promotes everyBODY. These too are an investment, coming in at least 97$ a pair. They are the best to workout in or wear around the house (do I need to reiterate The Husband charm these leggings possess?). For size reference, I am 5 foot 6 and 130, I wear a medium. I could probably rock a small, but I prefer some give with my Beyonds. Like Leon Bridges sings, these “just might be my everything and beyond.”
These ole things have got me thru thick and thin, no literally. That post baby belly is challenging, uteruses are pretty miraculous but they do take time to return to previous shape, or close to it. In addition, newborn life is messy with bodily fluids you never even knew existed. I have gone thru a few of these old navy black leggings, because well with the price tag comes the quality. I love old navy, its my go to for kids clothes, maternity clothes, etc. BUT once you wash these bad boys, the black is more like a dingy dark grey and pilling is everywhere. HENCE good for a short term when you are covered in unexplained fluids that you don’t have to worry about throwing into the dryer.
I only have two pairs of Alos. They’ve always got some super hot trends from basic blacks to neon green party mode. Ahh they just slide right on. Not to mention, always dropping steals of deals on their website. I have to say mine will fold at the high waisted belly often, so I don’t prefer to workout or practice yoga in them. The material seems a bit thinner and definitely shows the sheerness in a forward fold or bend-and-snap position. They are perfect for on-the-go or at home moods.
